First Roses in Spring

"I wish the sky would rain down roses, as they rain from off the shaken bush....... They would fall as light as feathers, smelling sweet: and it would be like sleeping and yet waking, all at once."--- George Eliot
The majority of the rose bushes are still budding............But some blooms were ready to be cut.............(Wish you could smell them...........mmm!!!!!)Having some fun with them at dusk...........

You grow the most beautiful roses and do you know what? I think I CAN smell them from here...or maybe it's mine! What a gorgeous sight it will be when all your rose buds burst. I would love to have a walk in your garden.
Thanks for sharing your trip with us. There certainly are some lovely places to go in your part of the world. These are the places that help make happy family memories.Your children will never forget these days.
We don't have twenty-eights here so it was very nice to see them....what a spectacular parrot. I have seen them in my bird book but I didn't realize they were that big.
Enjoy your yummy roses, Angela.

Glorious roses, Rosy. Mine are all still in bud and I'm getting impatient!

Lovely, lovely roses!
I have always wanted to grow yellow roses (my favorite), but I'm told they are the most difficult.

Seeing yours, I think I'll put forth the extra effort. :)
