Lovely weather my excuse!

I've been tagged and awarded with a "You made my day" award, my only excuse for procrastinating in attending to them is that the weather has been sooooo lovely and I'm enjoying myself pottering around the garden. I'll give you a sneak peek into what I'm talking about. So ladies, I'll get back to the tag and the award in a little while. Please bear with me. Thanks so much.

Happy Easter

Just want to wish you all lovely friends and readers a Happy Easter and hope you will have a great day. Our kids had their Easter Egg Hunt today as tomorrow we'll be very busy. I love Easter, always a great time to reflect on the true meaning of my faith, Jesus' resurrection made it all "not in vain", Jesus has won the victory and conquered death by His resurrection. The roses in the garden have been continuously flowering, here are some of them with their names. I have to say all the David Austin roses I've got so far are excellent roses, below apart from Simplicity(Pink profusion of blooms), Gold Bunny(Highly recommended for prufusion of blooms), Seduction(Best looking when half open), China Doll (Clustered Flowers) and Perfumed Perfection (Also massive amount of blooms) which are Floribundas, all the rest are David Austin's English Roses.

Quick Snack

One of the easiest ways to prepare a quick snack is by putting cracker biscuits, assorted cheeses and some fruit and vegies together on a cheeseboard. Apart from using it for parties, this is also very handy for when friends drop by your house for a quick visit. You can choose your favourite cheeses, but there are also assorted cheeses and biscuits readily packeted in the supermarket for this very purpose. I love Camembert, so I always have to include that. Sometimes I also use a dip with this.

Restored to Dignity

Remember this table? I salvaged it from a pile of verge rubbish. A few coats of paint later (and lots of elbow grease for sanding) now it looks oh-so-fine. I painted it a pale pink. The last picture I took didn't show the details underneath . I also put little appliques on to add a bit more detail and to give it more character.
