Autumn Garden Pictures and More

Here are some more pictures of my garden at the moment, which I promised in the last post. Just after I'd said how fantastic the weather was the other day, it started to rain a little the next day; however, it was very much welcome, we needed some rain anyway. It also made the garden look much calmer, I love sitting inside looking out at the garden through the windows of our living room on rainy days.I read that "Yellow acts as commas in a garden", yeah, I agree. Now, if I could only remember where I read it so I could give the author credit. Does anybody know? These St.Cecilia blooms were like "perfume bombs", it was really good to have them inside the house and every time I walked by them, I smiled and inhaled as much as I could. Ahhh! Perfect scent! A big thank you to all of you lovely ladies who love roses as much as I do, your comments have been so heart-warming and I'm always amazed you haven't got sick of looking at my garden yet. Roses truly are the Queen of all Flowers, their beauty is simply breathtaking, undoubtedly. Have yourselves a wonderful week, won't you? Don't get stressed out.

Hello
How very wonderful; what a precious gift you have to raise roses in your garden like these. I truly "envy"you but more so I wish I could visit and smell them too. Tell me: where did you learn to grow roses like this ? Or is it in the genes ? Or is it in a book ?
Anyway: your blog is so beautiful and I always feel like you giving me these very treasures.
Today is my son's 21the birthday: I think I will buy myself beautiful roses today, being his mom and bringing him up like this: like a precious rose..
Be well

Breathtakingly gorgeous roses, would you share all the names to me, please. I can't get enough of your blog pictures ... at my last house we had 20 roses bushes, but I only have a couple here ... I need to get some like yours. They would compliment my gardens wonderfully.
I can nearly smell the scent thru the blog ..... come over & visit my gardens I just posted. Have a lovely week.

Getting tired of your garden/rose pictures?! NEVER! :)

A question - I should have pruned my Jude rose bush about two months ago, but it was always too cold to go outside with my "current responsibility".... is it too late? Or should I just let the canes grow as they are now?

Your roses are just the best...I live in New England...this is my first spring in this house...I want to plant some rose bushes...do you recommend a particular species for this area?

I love those big full blooms that look almost like a peony...

Your gardens are just breathtaking...

Those St Cecilias are gorgeous. Are they a David Austin rose?

Your garden is inspirational. Do you grow much apart from roses?

To Our Red House:
Yes, I do grow other things apart from roses, annuals and perennials and some ground covers and climbers which are not roses to zest up the garden. Roses have been the main thing in the back garden though, I find them very easy as when they are established they fend for themselves when I can't attend to them too closely. They are tough in drought too.
