How does your garden grow........?

Pansies and Panolas are blooming in my garden at the moment. They are a lovely sight.

Did you know Panolas are apparently the only true cross between pansies and violas, which means that they have the larger flowers of pansies and the free flowering characteristics of violas? I'm fascinated by all the different colours and patterns on them especially at the garden centres (plant nurseries), I've only chosen a few of the colour schemes, there are unbelievably many to choose from.

It's so nice to see such lush flowers....just BEAUTIFUL! You are so lucky to have had some good rain. My poor old flowers are all being watered by tank water via watering can. I don't think we had any rain in June...oh, and none for August yet. Our dams that provide our town water are down to 13 percent...not good. We have not been able to use town water outside at all for I think two years now. I just hope there's normal summer rain ahead.
Have fun gardening,
Angela.

It's incredible how much rain we've had. I was just telling my friend we don't usually get rain consecutively for 3 weeks here in WA, and we're expecting more! I'm toilet training our puppy and it seems like every time I take her out to the back lawn to do her business, it rains. I'm thankful we still get a bit of sunshine in between though. I know we need the rain, but deep down I'm still a sunshine sort of girl.

Your flowers are gorgeous! I just love pansies, they look so happy. :)

In my neck of the woods, pansies do best in March and April and again in October.
Its near 100 degrees here right now, and I better get some pictures of the few annuals I have left before they all shivel up from the heat.

Kimberly :)
