Console Table

I'm helping the environment by recycling and giving a bit of TLC to the pieces which need a bit of love. I spotted this piece near a pile of rubbish, I thought it had character. I changed the drawer pull, I'm still wanting to paint it to the white and the finish and distress that I like; but for now, here it is. The books and glasses and doily were my son's idea. The metal plaque behind is still not finished either, it's a bit too white and I want to repaint and distress it and put words on it. Nice little table for displaying roses, don't you think? Have a great week, dear friends. Roses here are Jude the Obscure(apricot, David Austin), St.Cecilia(pink, David Austin), Golden Years(yellow, Floribunda), Anne Boelyn(medium pink/apricot blend, David Austin).

What a terrific find. What color of white did you use on your table? There are so many shades of white that it is hard to decide. Yours looks awesome.
And your roses are beautiful

The white I use is Dulux "White on White", low sheen finish.

g'day

how interesting that you found it on the side of the road, just like me! I am a thrifter like that too, I think it is a sport...nice job on the white, I am tinkering with painting some stuff black and distressing it, seen it on a lot of blogs

anyway I've enjoyed my visit here today, love all the roses, not sure where you are in Australia but they are sure doing well in your garden...have you thought of offering them for sale as hand-tieds...

happy blogging, I'd love to see you stop by my place..
