Winter Blooms

Above are pictures I took today of Heritage, Seduction, Gold Bunny and Golden Years roses. It's been raining here for 3 days consecutively, many farmers are happy. There's been a drought and the hot topic in people's conversations has been Global Warming and concerns for what the future holds in terms of water supply or the lack of it and its effects etc. Rain really brings back life and hope to the land, the parched land soaks up all the moisture when the heavens are open, thirsty plants start to look healthy and the garden is lively with colours again. It's amazing what water can do to a garden. I took some pictures in the garden today, they are winter blooming plants which are looking very happy. There are still roses in flower, holding on to their tether till the end before they get pruned. Some of which are Candy Cane, China Doll, Tamora, St. Cecilia, Gold Bunny, Golden Years, Elmshorn and Pink Simplicity. Apart from roses, there are the Osteopermums, Daisies, Alyogyne Huegelli and Lantanas. (Pictured below) They are smiling. Hope you'll have something to smile about today. Please do not hesitate to leave a comment so I know you've been here to visit me. Thanks.

Hi,

I just found your blog this minute and I think it is absolutely beautiful. What a gorgeous garden you have. My Melbourne garden looks dreary and colourless at the moment. I am really looking forward to reading back over your previous posts.
