My lampshade in the living room has been going through a bit of a metamorphosis through the years.
When it was first given to me, it was this hideous bright orange papery thing with gold trims which didn't fit with my decor at all no matter where I placed it.
So as soon as it came home, I quickly tore off the orange papery material and hung a piece of lace on its frame temporarily until I worked out how to go about re-covering it.
Unfortunately I don't have photos of it being bright orange.
I accepted it knowing fully I would re-cover it, I saw that it had good bones.
I ended up getting a new frame for it though,
as I wasn't completely happy with the old one.
This was the first proper re-covering I did............

Then came time for a change, I put a piece of material on to temporarily cover it to see how it looked............

Then this............ also not to stay for too long..............

Now, it looks like this below.............
Do you like it?
The fabric looks cream in the photo, but it's more of a sandy colour in real life,
it also has these grainy textured look up close.
You can also see in this picture I painted some of the other things grey,
I like the effect,
hopefully will have some pictures to show you the fuller view later.
Thanks for your visit, my dear friends,
hope you enjoyed it;
have a great weekend!

The stand is painted an off-white colour now,
it was like this before.........
